1.     There are four main types of in-ground swimming pools available for your selection.  Aluminium, concrete, fiberglass and the vinyl-liner.  Each type has its own pros and cons.  The construction, materials and maintenance for each type differs from one another.   The size and shape of your pools will depend on the topography of backyard.   Concrete pools are the most common in-ground pool whereby the design are made according to your specifications but they could take quite some time to complete.  Fiberglass and vinyl-liner pools on the other hand are easier, cleaner and faster but durability and flexibility can be uncertain.

 

2.       For each of the types of pool, their construction begins very much the same way.  First and foremost, your backyard will have to be marked and excavated to make way for your dream pool.  Once this has been completed, then the differing construction process begins depending on your selected choice.  Once the marked location has been excavated, steel bars and a wooden formwork will be laid into the hole.  After the necessary plumbing works are finished, a concrete spray will be applied to form the actual sides of your swimming pool.  Once the application has settled, tiles and finishings will complete the surface of the pool.  This is the first phase towards the completion of your pool.

 

3.       Continuing to the next phase will involved pool coping or decking, electrical connections and equipment installations.  Once completed, it will be time to fill the pool with water and commissioning.

 

4.       Finishing touches to your soon to be completed dream pool will include landscaping, decorations, lightings and furnishings.   Depending on the theme you have chose, transformation will gradually turn your back yard into your private oasis.

 

(i)                  Water features such as bubblers, fountains or waterfalls creates a wonderful white noise.   The sound of falling waters can add calmness and peace while you rest and relax in your newfound swimming pool.

 

(ii)                A well landscaped yard will complement your new swimming pool depending on the chose theme.  Landscaping is meant to beautify and provide for comfort, safety and convenience.

 

(iii)               Lightings will provide safety for swimmers while adding a glow to your pool and landscape around it.  It adds color or color effect the pool water.
