It is always such a challenge... finding the perfect Christmas gift... Well, it's no wonder that Spa Gift Certificates are quickly becoming the most popular gift to give and receive at Christmas. With todays busy lifestyle we rarely make time for ourselves anymore. Spa Gift Certificates at Christmas give us the excuse to take the time that we all deserve. With the pressure of the economy on top of raising a family, taking care of our aging parents, and trying to move ahead in our careers, our basic need of spending some time for ourselves is often overlooked. It's one of my favourite gifts, especially at Christmas time!

I have enjoyed receiving spa gift certificates for the past few years at Christmas so much that I have been buying them as stocking stuffers for everyone on my list. The hardest decision is what spa to buy the gift certificates from and there are so many choices with great spas in Vancouver, Surrey, White Rock, and the like. I live in Vancouver and I have tried most of the top spas around the lower mainland but I really have 1 true favourite. Like I said, I live in Vancouver, but I have no problem driving a bit to visit a great spa. Last Christmas, I Googled "spa gift certificates surrey BC" and at the top of the list I found Aru Spa and Salon located in Surrey, right near White Rock. I took a look around the website http://www.aruspa.com and their pictures and found it to be quite appealing, so I booked a massage just to check them out before I bought my gift certificates.

Form Vancouver, Aru Spa is about 45 minutes as it is near White Rock in South Surrey. I don't mind the drive from Vancouver to Surrey as long as the spa experience is worth it... I arrived at Aru Spa to valet parking right outside, which just so happened to be free, nice touch! The spa was quit cozy and had a nice modern Moroccan feel to it. My massage was amazing, I could really tell that my therapist really loved what she does, her movements were graceful and flowing. It is one of my top spa experiences to date.

After my service I was pleased enough with the entire experience to purchase my Christmas spa gift certificates for my whole family, nothing too extravagant, just stocking stuffers. I asked the young lady working the front desk if she had any special offer and to my amazement she actually did. She told me that Aru Spa does a Christmas spa gift certificate special every year and this year's special was a $50 free gift card if I purchase $250, perfect! I asked her to split the spa gift cards into 6 - $50 cards which she did and I received a total of $300 in spa gift cards for only $250!

The spa gift cards were a hit with everyone I gave them to and what was really nice is, I got a second "Thank You" after everyone redeemed their gift cards at Aru Spa. Everyone absolutely loved their services at Aru Spa. Needless to say I will be buying these great gifts from Aru again next year.
