Floating pool lights - adding your night time enjoyment
Floating pool lights have been a very popular options to light a swimming pool. They come in a vast array of decorative styles and colors. Not only are they a great way to give the pool area a subtle glow, but they provide fun and festive
illumination for pool parties and barbecues.
If you just start to build a new swimming pool or spa, you may have no limitations in choosing the right lighting system. But adding wired pool lights to existing pool may be a little difficult sometime. The swimming pool light industry has made more pool light options available to pool owners than a decade ago. Floating pool lights are one of the options for existing pool owners if they do not want to break the concrete.Floating pool lights are also very good replacements for the installed pool lights due to their convenience to install and maintain.Portability is also a plus. You can place it in your Jacuzzi or spa as well, and even take it with you for camping.
Floating pool lights can light up the pool quite effectively. Some lights project white light upwards while other styles include colored lighting lenses to make the bottom of the pool appear to be a colorful wonderland. They are usually powered by a rechargeable battery, which can provide up to 4 hours of lights between charges, allowing you to have a fun-filled evening in the swimming pool with a warm ambient glow of light.
Some types of floating pool lights are solar pool lights. They work by capturing the sun's energy via solar collectors located on the top of their waterproof case. The collected solar energy charges a rechargeable battery located within the light, and then the solar pool lights are turned on automatically at night via a light sensor. As a result they do not use any costly electricity. Solar floating pool lights are usually small and can be easily moved around. They are not as bright as other type of lights. But You can choose to group these pool lights or just illuminate certain areas. During the months where your pool, fountain or pond is not operating, the lights can still be used to add ambiance at parties or as a landscape accent piece. One popular option is to power a LED pool light which takes very little energy to run, and therefore can illuminates for up to 8-10 hours.
There are also many options of floating pool lights that are specifically for pool parties and entertainment. They usually come with very pretty colorful display and with many mode setting. Some can create fountain effect while others are like disco balls. They can be of great fun to your backyard time in the evening.
