Sliding Shower Doors - Info

The bathroom is essentially divided into three to four areas. These areas include the wash area, toilet area, shower area, and occasionally a tub area. To avoid getting the rest of the bathroom floor from getting wet from the splash of water from the shower or tub dividers are placed around the area. The dividers are usually made from glass and have a door to enclose the space. Due to the limited space in most bathrooms, it is ideal to have an enclosure with sliding shower doors.

Sliding shower doors does not need clearance space like swing doors. This allows small bathrooms to have an enclosed shower without any trouble. There is also no chance of the door hitting something and breaking when opened. There is also no chance for one to accidentally open while one is leaning on it causing one to fall over and get hurt.

Having an enclosed shower area also gives additional privacy especially if one shares the bathroom with other people. Frosted glass dividers and door allow one to shower with only the silhouette being seen and allow other people to use the wash area or toilet without being seen from the inside the shower.

There are many types of shower doors one can have. There are transparent glass doors for those who do not worry about privacy in the shower. Fully frosted doors can be used to have full privacy while showering. Partly frosted doors or decorated doors can provide one some privacy by covering most of the body from being seen from outside the shower.

One must exercise caution though and buy one that is reliable. The mechanism that allows the doors to slide can sometimes be made of substandard material and rust. Rusted or broken sliding mechanism will cause the sliding shower door to not move.
