Coral Beads
Coral is calcified skeletons of sea creatures that grow in formations resembling the branches of a tree. Our coral beads come from the Pacific Ocean near Japan and Taiwan. The color of coral ranges from white to red. Our coral beads are reconstituted so the color has been enhanced and the beads were made not by carving but by pressurizing ground up material back into beads.
Coral has a history of religious significance and is one of the seven treasures in Buddhist scriptures. Coral necklaces, earrings, bracelets etc are considered as a powerful talisman that can stop bleeding, protect from evil spirits, and ward of hurricanes.
