Vinyl Tile Above Ground Pool Liners Look Just Like Ceramic Tiles
Above ground pools sure have gone through some changes over the years and the most dramatic improvements have been to their pool liners. It all makes perfect sense, because after all, above ground pool liners are made from vinyl, which is the same material that floor tiles are made from.
As Real as it Gets
The color variations and styles are almost endless. You can get one that is completely covered with tiles or there is a broad choice in vinyl above ground pool liners that only feature a tasteful decorative tile border along the top edge of the pool. The truly amazing thing is that the tiles themselves and even the grout lines look and feel just like ceramic tile.
A Complete and Finished Look
But its an above ground pool, so wont it all come off as looking “fake” in the end? Not if you do a complete job that finishes all of the edges and details. For instance, big thick 45 degree coving, eliminates all 90 degree angles at the bottoms of all pool walls for a nice “rounded wall” effect. Also, prefabricated decking that “rides over” the pools top edges completes the total effect.
The Same Look and Effect for a Fraction of the Cost
When it is all said and done, all that is visible is tile, deck and water, just like a built in pool costing tens of thousands of dollars more. Also, new padded foam underlayments that are installed under the the vinyl above ground pool liner give a “smoother finished” look and are soft and “foot friendly”.
Dive Into a Coral Reef
Another line of above ground pool liner designer styles that is super popular with both the young and the young at heart is “tropical fish” and “coral reef”. These too are designs that have to be seen to be truly appreciated. 3D fish, coral and seaweed in a rainbow of colors seem to jump right off of the walls while “sand, rocks and starfish” cover the floor of the pool for a look and feel that is truly astounding.
