Inground Pool Automatic Cleaners – Whats New

Inground pool automatic cleaners come in three basic types, those being suction side, pressure side and mechanical. The mechanical types are the latest to find their way into the market, because it is only in the last couple of decades that reliable technology was developed and made available.

Prior to the advent of mechanical inground pool automatic cleaners, pool owners who had cement inground pools had to scrub the sides of their pool manually using a wide pool brush on a long pole. Pressure and Suction Side

Pressure and suction side inground automatic pool cleaners are still around though and probably will be for some time for one big reason. That is because they are much cheaper to purchase then mechanical inground automatic pool cleaners. In fact, a basic, minimum function suction side automatic pool cleaner can still be found for as little as $100 or less.

Three Things to Consider

The size, level of use, as well as the amount of debris that is expected to find its way into your pool from your landscaping are three big factors that figure into what size and type of pool cleaner you will need to adequately service your pool. Trying to make due with a smaller or cheaper pool cleaner then you actually need can lead to having to return to buy a second pool cleaner further down the line.
