Flip Ultra HD Video Camcorder may have pioneered the way forward to HD with the  Flip ultra HD  and  Flip Mino HD it has been slow but  Flip got there and more by stepping up the resolution ladder. In many reviewers eyes’ The Flip Video UltraHD is not the sexiest mini-camcorder out there but what it lakes in looks it makes up in some of the best video seen from this type of bargain YouTube-friendly camcorder.

Operation remains the same simple approach as in previous Flips videos and devices of this ilk: power on, press record, and that's it. It takes about 4 seconds to get from off to filming. There is a limited and rather pointless 2x digital zoom, which is worth avoiding.

You’ll be able to connect it straight to your TV, although Flip doesn’t supply the cable, or any cable, in fact. Of course, you can play the files straight off the camcorder on your PC or plugged straight into your PS3.

The Flip UltraHD is surprisingly not the most expensive camera that the company currently sells. The most expensive camcorder is the $229.99 Flip MinoHD. The Flip UltraHD is a newer product, it uses a more advanced video compression engine (the Flip Video Engine 3.5, versus version 3.0 in the Flip MinoHD). As with all other camcorders from Pure Digital, the UltraHD has the signature flip-out USB connector, from which the Flip line gets its name. Instead of the touch-sensitive controls used on the Mino, the UltraHD has defined buttons, including playback and delete buttons, and a four-way navigation pad with a bright red record button in the middle. The up and down arrows control the 2X digital zoom. It’s still one of the simplest, most user-friendly pocketcams out there. With little practice, anyone will be able to navigate the controls without even looking.

The Navigator - $24.99 At the request of his star Buster Keaton, producer Joseph M. Schenck purchased an obsolete ocean liner for $20,000. Keaton wanted to use the boat as a "prop" in his upcoming feature comedy, but went into production with nary a plot idea in his head. Eventually, Buster and his chief gagman Clyde Bruckman came up with a story involving two wealthy, pampered young people (played by Keaton and Kathryn McGuire), who through a series of fantastic but logical plot convolutions end up stranded together on a drifting, deserted ocean liner. At first, the young couple is helpless because they've never had to lift a finger in their lives. As the weeks pass, Keaton and McGuire become quite adept at fending for themselves, utilizing the huge facilities of the liner (its steam room, its enormous kitchen) for the simplest and most basic of necessities. An attack by a cannibal tribe requires Keaton to be more resourceful than ever; the build-up to the climactic contretemps between Keaton and the cannibals is almost as side-splitting as the climax itself. While the film is rife with some of Buster Keaton's most elaborate gags, he scores equally well with smaller, more intimate comedy bits, notably his losing battle with a deck chair and his attempt to shuffle a waterlogged deck of cards. Reasoning that the comedy in The Navigator would work best if built upon an utterly serious storyline, Keaton hired actor/director Donald Crisp to handle the "straight" scenes. Alas, as Keaton would later recall, the constitutionally humorless Crisp "turned gagman on us", resulting in miles of wasted footage. Thus, pay no attention to the "official" directorial credits: Buster Keaton alone is responsible for the helming of The Navigator.
