Because there are so many hot tub accessories and jazzy options, it is easy to get over excited and purchase things you will rarely use once the novelty wears off. The real reason for a hot tub is to have a massage, relax and wind down, so before you buy,
a. Have you actually been for a soak in a hot tub?
b. Did your friends / family join you and share their opinions with you?
c. Which features do you really need, and which ones would be nice, but not essential?
d. How often would you use the hot tub?
e. If outdoors, would you still use it in the winter?

More importantly, don't forget the basic functionality – it's a hot tub.

Portable hot tubs (spas) are another consideration. Technology is advancing fast and the improvements are quite apparent when it comes to hot tubs. Portable hot tubs as available in the marketplace are lightweight, with all electrical, filtering and heating systems, contained within. So it is quite easy to move and comparatively simple to use.

Coming over to the usage now, a vital aspect is cleanliness of the hot tub water. Hot tub hygiene and how to clean the water or what chemicals are necessary or spa drain and refill procedure are frequently asked.

A hot tub can remain clean for weeks, but there are things you can do you make this last even longer. Like buy the correct cover to keep the dirt out, which will also serve well to keep the heat in (far more useful than an expensive novelty gadget).

In conclusion, a hot tub is about having fun, find the time to relax and enjoy alone or with friends, with the minimum of fuss, labour or cost.
