Hexagon Picnic Table Plans

The small hexagon picnic table will seat 6 adults comfortably and even more children. It measures 47" to the parallel sides. This is perfect for great family time sitting together outside enjoying a great bar-b-qued dinner. No crowding and fighting for space as with an A framed picnic table.

The large hexagon picnic table will seat 12 adults comfortably and again even more children. This table measures a large 57" to the parallel sides. With this table not only can you sit and enjoy dinner with your family but now you can enjoy it with extended family or friends as well. And you are all sitting facing each other so you are not talking over somebody else to carry on conversion.

Both of these hexagon picnic table plans allow ease of building by only having one angle to cut. All the angles on these hexagon picnic table plans are at 60 degrees. You will not have to make a lot of different angled cuts and try fitting them all together. With one free day you should be able to have this table built if you have some carpenter skills. You do not have to be a skilled carpenter but it will help to have some experience.

You see how stable its mounting system is (Keck uses a computer-controlled azimuth-elevation mounting system, a departure from the equatorial systems of older telescopes, with their asymmetric load bearing). The scale of this model is close to the model-railroad "N" guage, so it isn't hard to find tiny plastic human figures or vehicles which, when displayed with the Keck model, illustrate its startling size.
