To sum up the whole Blast Your Bench training program into one word, I would have to say it is super-intensive. This program will make your muscles sore, your body tired and your mind numb. But when it comes to results, it may also very well be the best bench press routine you have ever experienced.

Let me say it up front - this program is not for everyone. If you are a bench press beginner, you probably did not build enough stamina to muster these ultra intensive workouts and Blast Your Bench program can do you more harm than good. But if you are an intermediate to advanced lifter, or if you are experiencing a bench press plateau, you may consider giving this program a try.

The whole program is based on very intensive training. Not just when it comes to weights, but the training frequency is much higher too. The idea is to stress muscles well beyond what they are used to lift. This is achieved by variety of techniques, from classic pyramid to negative reps.

The Blast Your Bench program will guide you from the very beginning to the very last day, when you set a new bench press max. It all starts before you even start the program.

Lee Hayward, the author of the program, will start by explaining how to pre-condition yourself for the training. This is something you do not see with typical workouts, but in this case, due to the training's intensity, it is essential.

Lee then explains the diet, which is an essential part of your success. You need to eat right (and lot) in order to maximize your progress. You will receive a complete diet program for you to use during the program, so you will know exactly what to eat, and even when to eat it.

The meat of the whole program is, of course bench press strength routine. The program goes into lot of details about physiology and theory behind big bench press. If you do not feel like educating yourself with the theory and are ready to start right away, you can jump straight into the training, as author will explain everything in a great detail.

You will basically receive a complete walk-through. Author will give you detailed instruction for you to follow. Everything from a proper bench press technique, what support exercises to use, what weights and reps to use to how long the breaks between sets should be. No detail is omitted, so you never have to guess what to do next.

If you are ready and willing to do your part, despite of what may now seem like an unrealistic goal, you indeed will be able to add 50 pounds to your bench press.
