With the housing market such a hot button topic on peoples minds lately more and more people are asking if an in ground pool is a wise investment that will reflect well on their property value. The fact of the matter, is that as far as pools are concerned above ground pools are for the most part a much better choice for quite a number of reasons.

To start with, you will not recoup your investment in an in ground pool, and will almost without exception actually lose money when the final tally is taken. If in ground pools actually brought up property values more then the cost of the pool itself every tract home that is built would come with one.

This is because an above ground pool can be completely installed in as little as one day. Secondly the differences in prices is monumental and there is no need for permits or adhering to property line setback requirements.

Finally you take it with you when you move and have it again set up in as little as a day in your new place even if it is a rental, so you lose nothing on the deal. No matter which direction you look at the caparison from, the above ground pool is the obvious sensible choice.
