Takagi TK-3
The tankless water heater Takagi T-K3 is capable of delivering 250 gallons of hot water in an hour, and it is the best choice to be used for domestic or commercial purposes as it provides constant flow of hot water all the day long.
The Takagi TK3 tankless gas water heater, taking up only 2.2 cubic feet of space, is about the size of a suitcase. It is quite handy to install even at congested areas or closer to the usage points. This results in reduced travel-time through pipes. Remarkable decrease in wastage of water and energy.
No storage tank to clog with deposits and rust. No pilot light to waste gas. With the TK3, computer-modulated burners use only the gas required, according to demand. Due to cost affectivity and best performance, the T-K3 hot water heater is getting space in the international market.
The Takagi TK3 has a lower activating flow rate, at only 0.5 gallons per minute, allowing the use of smaller water flows in bathroom sinks and showers. Instead of the usual four settings, the T-K3 offers eight separate temperatures, set by dip-switch: 104 degree F, 113 degree F, 122 degree F, 131 degree F, 140 degree F, 158 degree F, 176 degree F, and 185 degree F. Requirement for a separate remote control with such flexibilities is useless.
The Takagi T-K3 can have a vent pipe run up to 50 feet with five elbows, instead of the normal 35 with three elbows.
As you can see, the Takagi T-K3 incorporates all those great features into this one new product. For residential or commercial applications, the demand for larger quantities of hot water can be met by implementing parallel connections to access flow rate. In short, the T-K3 fills the gap between the single residential heater and multiple commercial T-M1 units. If we consider the performance of T-K3 in specific conditions like warm areas at certain temperatures, then it would be clear from this example: at a delta T of 60 degrees F, where the winter ground water is 60 degree F and with the output set at 122 degrees F – the flow rate could be 5.4 Gallons Per Minute, or 324 Gallons Per Hour. In colder areas where the input temperature may be 40 degrees F or less, expect a flow rate about 4.1 GPM, or 246 GPH.
The durability and dependability in Takagi is implemented by using best materials. Steel burners, water tubes made of copper or brass and epoxy powder coating leads to rust resistant body, durability and great efficiency.
Since heating starts when water is used, so there is no need of holding tanks, hence waste of energy is minimized. Without a pilot light, computerized ignition system used in Takagi T-K3 gas water heater enables almost 50% of reduction in utility costs.
Several safety features are incorporated in this unit with the help of advanced circuits and sensors that monitors different functionalities like gas levels, water levels, over or under heating and freeze conditions.
The T-K3 (TK3) comes equipped with heating blocks to prevent freezing which can damage the heat exchanger. In T-K3 the auto ignition system can operate at zero flow rates, this prevents heat exchanger from freezing.
