Glow sticks are often used for recreational purposes

Although also used for other purposes such as emergency lighting, glow sticks are often used for recreational purposes, most commonly at dance clubs and in raves, and in recent years they have seen something of a revival with eighties fashions making a return to the catwalks and the music industry following suit (So to speak).

Typically, glow sticks comprise of two different solutions which when mixed speed up photon release, producing energy as light.  There are a variety of different glow products available on the market besides conventional wholesale glow sticks, which can range from mini 1.5 inch glow sticks to giant concert glow sticks.  As well as this, there are also novelty items available such as glow necklaces and glow bracelets, which work on the same principle as traditional glow sticks, except that with these the plastic casing is made from a more flexible material, allowing them to be bent into different shapes.

Themed parties are a great way to show off a black light or UV lighting in a room, setting and accentuating the scene, and adding another dimension with a strange, glowing effect.  Wholesale glowsticks can be bought from a range of providers either on the internet or on the high street, and the effect can be intensified by adding more wholesale glow sticks, stickers, paint and other decorations to the room to add to the effect.  Wholesale glow sticks can be pushed into balloons before inflating them, giving them a spooky appearance, and decorating a room with flour string can add interest –try outlining furniture with it.  Fluorescent tulle can look eerily beautiful draped over furniture and hung in drapes from the ceiling.  Another cheap way to get the party "glowing" is to use laundry detergent.  With this (Depending on how messy you're prepared for the room to get) you can paint the corners of a room, even pictures and messages on the wall.  There is a whole range of glow party ware available from the same places which sell wholesale glow sticks to complete the look, such as glowing martini glasses and shot glasses.

You don't simply have to stop at decorating the room, either –you and your guests can also glow with fluoro make up, glitter and clothes.  You can either go got a subtle look, with just a couple of glow necklaces or glow bracelets and a splash of fluorescent make up, or you can glow all the way with full-on trance party clothes and make-up, if that is more your style.  Glow necklaces and glow bracelets are available from the same places which sell wholesale glow sticks, and when they are grouped together they can produce a very striking effect.

If you really like the finished look of your room, why not consider giving UV light a permanent place in your room by painting the walls in a dark colour (Try blue, purple or green as they tend to be less oppressive than black)?  This will show up any UV decoration you have adorning the room and the walls to great effect at night.
