Remove Protection Center - Delete This Spyware Off Your PC

Protection Center markets itself as an anti-malware program. This sounds like something that is convenient. However, the truth about Protection Center is that it is a straightforward spyware program. It is actually something that is very similar to the Your Protection and Data Protection spyware programs.

Don't let the professional appearance of the program and its' shield logo fool you. Protection Center is a harmful program that can easily disrupt a computer. It will start by first promoting itself. This will be done by having the program perform a fake scan on a computer. The program will suggest in its advertisement that one's computer is filled with malware and that it can be cleared up when Protection Center is installed.

The main thing to see here is that this is a program that does nothing to handle actual malware. All of the scams and processes that it will work with are not real. The program is not going to remove malware. It is actual malware that is just going to end up inviting more malware onto the computer.

The effects of this program can be harmful. The most notable effect is that it can disable a web browser. This is something that can especially happen on the Internet Explorer browser. This can be especially difficult for a computer to handle if it does not have the Firefox or Chrome browser installed on it. The program will also cause a computer to slow down. This is because of how it will work with a large amount of RAM space when it is handling its fake scans.

Another effect is that you can end up losing money off of the program. Protection Center can continuously perform fake scans and make fake reports out of them. However, the program will ask for a user to end up buying the full version of the program. After you send your money out you will supposedly get the full version. However, the program will not work to delete anything off of the computer. It will continue to work with fake scans while the maker of the program runs off with your money.

Protection Center can be manually removed following a series of steps. First you will have to stop the Uninstall.exe and cntprot.exe processes. These are the two processes that the computer will run when Protection Center is working. A series of registry entries will also have to be deleted. These include all entries that relate to the Protection Center, Paladin Antivirus and Malware Defense programs. These are all the names that Protection Center can operate under in one's computer. Finding the offending registry entries can be difficult and deleting the wrong registry key can corrupt Windows. The cnthook.dll and cntext.dll DLL libraries will have to be unregistered and removed from the computer in the next part. Finally, the files on the computer that relate to the program will have to be deleted manually. This can be done by removing the C:Program FilesProtection Center folder and all of its materials. Don't forget to also get rid of the Desktop and Start Menu buttons that relate to the program.

Do not wait for your system to be further compromised, Remove Protection Center Now! Once your computer is infected with this spyware it is crucial to remove it as soon as possible.
