Myrtle Beach Aquarium is One Must-See Stop Among Many

There's a lot to do and see in Myrtle Beach: there's attractions to draw you in no matter what your age or what time of year you visit -- but the Myrtle Beach Aquarium is one of the best stops in town.  You can spend days swimming, parasailing, golfing, hiking, and seeing live shows, but there's nothing quite like Ripley's Aquarium Myrtle Beach.

Rainbow Rock: If you're the type who won't ever get the chance to snorkel in the South Pacific (who isn't?), Rainbow Rock is your chance to get a glimpse of what you're missing.  An eye-bending variety of brightly-colored fish swim and spiral in a hypnotic fashion, certain to mesmerize any onlooker.

And if you're bringing the little ones along, Ripley's Aquarium Myrtle Beach certainly has plenty for them to do as well:

Systems Control: Let the shorties get their eyes full of the massive machinery that is responsible for maintaining the water quality of Dangerous Reef.  

Sea-For-Yourself Discovery Center: Hands-on is the name of the game in this interactive media center and aquatic petting zoo.  Hold a horseshoe crab!

Touch-A-Ray-Bay: Rays are some of the most enigmatic and beautiful creatures of the seas, and in this hands-on exhibit, children (and adults!) have the opportunity to pet these elusive beasts.
And don't miss the Lethal Weapons exhibit!  Filled with hands-on displays and life exhibits of some of the most deadly sea life on Earth, Lethal Weapons is an education in 'old school' biological warfare!

Make no mistake -- Myrtle Beach is about a lot more than the Aquarium.  The sheer quantity of shopping, dining, nightlife, shows, and attractions can be overwhelming to a first-timer.  But whether you've come for the Banana Boat Express, Dolly Parton's Dixie Stampede, or The Witch and The Wizard golf clubs, stay an extra day and visit the Myrtle Beach Aquarium -- it's worth the trip!
